A composition most often occurs in an unexpected manner. It lies dormant in me and emerges when the emotion is stronger than the decency that keeps it inside. Upriver is like a diary that I have been writing for more than ten years. During this period, I have experienced striking encounters that inspired me for these stories. Each of them left a secret within me that was impossible for me to keep. Like a storyteller, I have transformed these stories into melodies, into sound colors, for it is in the music that resides the most fundamental part of these secrets, the part that I can share and that links the stories to the audience.
